Fandom Snowflake Challenge: Day 8-10

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner

Comment to someone you haven't ever interacted with before or introduce yourself to someone you've interacted with and friend/follow them.

Done since I've interacted with several ppl through the challenge so far and even friended one :)

Set some goals for the coming year. They can be fannish or not, public or private.

Well last year I tried out the 33% Resolution and didn't quite make it, so I'd like to keep going on that and try to do better this year. That means writing more POC characters and more femslash (so if you have recs for exchanges/fests related to that, link me!). Also, get more organized, both in personal life and fannish life. I've already started with that with starting a spreadsheet to keep track of where all my fic is posted and a google calendar to keep track of fest, exchanges, etc. This one is probably the more time consuming goal, though I think the first one will be the one that takes the most focus. It's hard to change habits, but I want my fandom life to be better, so I'm gonna work for it.

Post a rec for fannish and/or creative resources and spaces. Tell us where you go to dig up canon facts for your fandom, or where you get all the juicy details about your favorite ship. Where do you like to hang out and squee like a squeeing thing?

I have a post with all the resources I use for graphics including fonts, textures, and screencaps. Other than that... Memory Alpha is fantastic for Star Trek facts, I use it pretty frequently even just bc I want to know random bits of trivia. For general fandom, Fanlore is a fantastic wiki of all things fannish and I love going through to find all the awesome fandom history and trivia and fanwork links.

Hi there! For femslash exchanges there's rarewomen and femslashex.

Good luck with your goals. Organisation is always a worthy goal xD (I'm a dork and keep a Google Calendar for some fic birthdays. Trying to keep one for fests was a bit frustrating because some shift their dates.)
I did rarewomen last year, but I will definitely check out femslashex. Thank you!

Yeah, I'm not sure how well the google calendar for fests is going to work out, but I hope it'll at least be a reminder that things are coming up. I've already missed sign ups for a couple of things this year and we're barely two weeks in!
Ooh, thanks for linking the 33% resolution. One of my goals is to be better at representation, so this will help with that.
Good luck on your goal! :)
Fanlore is one of my favourite timesucks.

For challenges, there's RarelyWritten, sadly it looks like Galentine's Day is no more.
I did RarelyWritten last year, but thank you for the reminder!
