Fandom Snowflake Challenge: Day 1

Fandom Snowflake Challenge banner

In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.

I didn't create nearly as much as I would have liked in 2016. Overall, I wrote about 2/3 as much as I did in 2015, and I did a lot fewer edits as well. But of the things I did make, there are a few that I really enjoyed creating, that I'm really proud of. So here is a top 10 from 2016 in no particular order!

  1. Come Back (fic: The Flash, Cisco/Harry). Cisco was a little ashamed of how long it took him to pull together all the pieces.

  2. A House on Fire (fic: Supernatural, Jo). Suddenly, there’s a door on her left. She stops as soon as she sees it, gun not wavering from where she has it held in front of her. There’s no new sound, nothing to hint at what may lay beyond. “What the fuck,” she sighs, and clenches the flashlight between her teeth before reaching for the doorknob.

  3. As a Bird Loves the Sky (fic: The Princess Bride, Fezzik/Inigo). He couldn’t help but stare at the other man for a few long moments, wondering at the way that just being near him like this made his heart beat faster and his soul soar with happiness. Even after thinking about this for so many weeks, sitting together like this, knowing what he was about to do, made it feel like his feelings were blooming anew.

  4. Together Like This (fic + edit: Hannibal, Alana/Margot). Reaching over to the side of the bed, she pulled two pieces of navy silk from the drawer of the bedside table. They were soft and strong, as proven by several other times they’d played with them. Margot’s eyes widened a little when she saw them, her breath coming quicker. She looked just excited for a little playtime with them as Alana was. “Arms up,” Alana ordered, satisfaction curling in her belly when Margot complied without a word.

  5. Tears and Dust and Luck (fic: Major Crimes, Rusty). The neon lights of the motel were still glaringly bright, the warm night air still smelled musty and rotten, and dark cars still rolled up to the far corner of the street to pick up girls and boys in short shorts and faux fur shoulder covers. He shivered, wrapping his arms tightly around his body, and headed the other way down the street.

  6. Bride of the Lake Monster (fic: Star Wars, Hux/Kylo). About twenty yards out was what looked like a ghostly white horse, almost glowing in the dim light of twilight, its long mane and tail trailing along the surface of the lake as it crept closer. As Hux watched, other horses rose from the dark water, inky blots with gleaming eyes that made Hux take a step back in shock.

  7. Relax (fic: Teen Wolf, Chris/Isaac). “It’s alright, you’re alright,” Chris whispered into Isaac’s ear. “Relax for me.”

  8. Only Recourse (fic: Harry Potter, Harry/Voldemort). Harry’s been acting odd lately. He doesn’t react well to Dumbledore’s idea of fixing him.

  9. 9 Icons of Chris Pine in Hell or High Water (edit: Hell or High Water).

  10. Art for "Home" (edit: Code Black, Cole/Leanne).

*cheers for you* This is a great top ten list. I'm always super impressed at people who can bounce around between different fandoms. I can do it for consuming fanworks, but not fic writing.

Thanks for reccing these. :)
Thank you :) I honestly don't know how to stay in one (or even a few) fandom at a time lol There are just too many shinies that catch my attention... I'm sometimes jealous of those that can stay in one or two fandoms only, but it is fun to dip my toes in so many fandoms!
Oh, wow... some interesting ships actually... some I've never considered :) I might check out a few of them :)

I'm a master of weird and tiny ships lol
