Day 7

In your own space, create a fanwork. Create something.

Over the past few days, I've been working on filling as many wishes from day 6 as I can. Many of them are reccing stuff, but I've also made a bunch of icons! Here is a selection of some of my faves :)

Day 8

In your own space, make a list of at least 3 things that you like about yourself.

Urg, one of the hard ones...

  1. I can write fic for just about anything I've ever watched/read/heard. I'm incredibly multifandom in general, but I take pride in the fact that if pressed, I can write fic for pretty much any fandom I'm at all familiar with. Which is a lot lol

  2. I'm very creative, and I don't mean just in the "I have a lot of ideas" way, though that's true too. I do a lot of different kinds of creative things, from writing (original, fic, poetry, script...) to graphic making to sewing to jewelry making. And I'm always willing to learn new creative skills.

  3. To step away from the fannish side, I really like my nails. They're really long and strong, and I've occasionally been able to use them to intimidate ppl lol Plus they make great canvases for cool nail art!

Day 9

Send feedback to two fannish people — they can be anyone you want: a writer who’s made you happy, a moderator of your favorite exchange (not us!), a fanartist you avidly follow… There are so many possibilities. Just let someone know you appreciate their work.

I decided quite awhile ago that I would leave a comment on every fic I read. As a fic writer, getting comments is basically the best thing ever, so if I can take the time to read something, then I can take the time to leave at least a line or two telling someone else that I liked what they wrote. I don't always have the spoons or the time to leave a comment as soon as I finish reading, so I often leave tabs open waiting to comment, but I always comment.

So there's my feedback for the day, since I've definitely read more than two fics today lol

Cool! Those are nice things to like about yourself :) And that's great you comment on all fics.

Lovely icons! The Carrie ones esp are great, but I love the Clint Coulson and Joe West too.
Thank you :D I really like the Carrie ones as well, I think I'm gonna have to make some more of her.
Those icons are amazing, especially the ones of Jesse L Martin. It's so shiney. Amazing work :)

I don't think I could write fic for any fandom I'm familiar with. Sometimes the characters of a show just don'T speak to me. I could probably write drabbles or something short for about anything :D
Thank you! I was having a lot of fun with them :D

It's definitely been a learning curve lol Doing things like the three comment ficathon or comment fic have been really good bc then I can challenge myself to do characters/fandoms I wouldn't usually in small, low stress environments. Then after I've gotten used to challenging myself on the small things, longer ones come easier!
I admire that you can write for anything you're at all familiar with and that you're generally a creative person. :D

It's also commendable that you want to comment on everything you read! I tried that once but it resulted in me not reading fic at all xD (Not that I'm reading much more now orz)

It is sometimes a struggle lol I think rn my phone has like 3 fics I read in the past few days that I'm working up to commenting on. But even when it's hard, I can't not read fic... Reading fic is like 90% of my life at this point XD
